A emergent node within the BC + AI Ecosystem
AI in Education Meetup #2 · Luma
ED + AI is a new subgroup within the BC + AI community focused on building space for thoughtful, collaborative, and educator-led exploration of artificial intelligence in education. This initiative brings together educators, technologists, researchers, designers, students, and learning leaders who care about how we teach, learn, and lead in an increasingly intelligent world.
ED + AI starts with a simple idea: Education should not be an afterthought in the AI conversation. It should be a central force shaping how AI is imagined, designed, and applied.
AI is already reshaping learning. From assessment tools and personalized learning to research workflows and administrative decision-making, its presence in education is growing fast. But many educators feel left out of the conversation, overwhelmed by the pace of change and unsure of where to begin.
ED + AI offers a place to slow down, connect across disciplines, and think more critically and creatively about how AI intersects with human development, teaching practice, equity, and institutional life.
We believe AI in education is not just about tools or trends. It is about culture, ethics, pedagogy, and people.
